Privacy policy at 77JL: what an account holds from registration to withdrawal

The 77JL privacy policy covers the information an account holds, from the three registration fields to the bank or e-wallet details bound for withdrawals. 77JL asks for a username and a password at registration, takes no email address or phone number then, and asks for no identity document at any stage.

What the 77JL privacy policy collects at registration

At registration the sign-up form collects three fields: a username, a password and a second entry of that password. You open an account without an email address, a phone number or a full name, and accounts are for adults aged 18 or over. Facebook and Google sign-up are available as an alternative to the three fields.

On the three-field route the account therefore begins as a username and a password, and every other detail the member supplies arrives through a later step.

Details a member adds in Personal Information

The 77JL personal information on an account grows after registration through the Personal Information page, which holds three entries a member can add: a nickname of 1 to 255 characters, a Google entry and an email address of 1 to 255 characters. The page holds no other field.

Of the three, the email address is the entry with a job beyond display: you recover a password only through the email saved on this page, so the entry is worth saving before you request recovery.

A withdrawal needs a bound bank account or e-wallet

Before a withdrawal you bind a bank account or an e-wallet, and the withdrawal form takes four entries in this order:

  1. The bank or e-wallet.
  2. The name on the card.
  3. The account number.
  4. The Transaction Password and the confirmation entry, a separate credential that the member sets when binding the first account.

Each bound account has to match the member account by name, so the match, not a document upload, is the identity check for every withdrawal. Because the check runs on every withdrawal, bind an account registered under the member’s own name.

Login records are shown to the member on My Account

Login activity falls under the privacy policy at 77JL as well. On the My Account page the member sees the time and the IP address of the last login, and only the last one.

Report a login time or IP address you do not recognise to customer service, since earlier sessions do not appear on the page.

SSL protects data in transit, and a separate password protects funds

77JL data protection starts with SSL encryption of data in transit. Two credentials then guard the account, and each guards a different thing:

Login passwordAt registrationSigning in to the account
Transaction PasswordWhen the first withdrawal account is boundEvery operation that moves funds

Someone who learns only the login password therefore cannot move funds.

The account begins small and grows with your entries

A new account starts with login credentials alone, and every later detail comes from a step the member takes. An email saved on the Personal Information page keeps recovery open. A bound account in your own name is the other, and in the privacy policy of 77JL both are entries a member controls.
